Privacy Policy Effective date: 24 June 2026 Letak ("we", "our", "the app") is a promotional leaflet aggregator for retail stores operating in the Baltic states. This Privacy Policy explains what data we handle, why, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 1. Who We Are Letak is an independent service and is not affiliated with any of the retail chains whose leaflets are displayed. For data-related enquiries please contact: gudriks.support@gmail.com. 2. Data We Collect 2.1 Device Location (optional) When you grant location permission, Letak reads your device's GPS or network coordinates to display your position on the map and calculate the walking distance from you to each store. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, stored, or shared with third parties. You can use Letak without granting location access — the map and store list are fully functional without it; your position simply will not be shown. You may revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. 2.2 Favourite Stores When you mark a store as a favourite, that preference is saved in the local database on your device only. We do not sync, upload, or have access to your list of favourites. 2.3 Leaflet Content Requests When you open the app, it sends standard HTTPS requests to our server to retrieve the list of stores and their current promotional leaflets. These requests include: - The URL of the requested resource - Your IP address (processed transiently by our server infrastructure, not logged or stored) - Standard HTTP headers (app version, platform) No personal identifiers, account tokens, or advertising IDs are sent. 2.4 Analytics and Crash Reporting We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how the app is used and to detect crashes, so we can improve it. This may include a device or app-instance identifier, app version, platform, language, approximate region (derived from your IP address, which is not stored), in-app events, and crash diagnostics. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell it. You can turn analytics off at any time in the "More" tab; on the web you can also opt out via your browser settings. 3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6) - Location data: your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), requested at runtime. - Leaflet content requests: our legitimate interest in providing the service (Art. 6(1)(f)). - Analytics and crash reporting: our legitimate interest in improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f)); you can opt out at any time. 4. Data Retention - Location data: never stored; used in memory for a single calculation and discarded. - Favourites: stored locally on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app. - Server request logs: our hosting infrastructure may retain standard access logs for up to 30 days for security purposes. 5. Data Sharing We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Leaflet images and descriptions are provided by retail partners (Lidl, Rimi, Maxima, Norfa, Euronics, Apotheka and others). We only request and display this content — we do not pass your personal data to those retailers. 6. Your Rights Under GDPR You have the right to: - Access the personal data we hold about you - Rectification of inaccurate data - Erasure ("right to be forgotten") - Restriction of processing - Object to processing based on legitimate interest - Data portability - Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority Since we store no personal data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device (e.g. clearing app storage). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. 8. Changes to This Policy We will publish any material changes to this policy in the app and update the effective date above.
